In its short time in existence, Beadle & Grimm’s Pandemonium Warehouse has made a name for itself by producing some of the finest accessories for Dungeons & Dragons on the market (you can read all about their upcoming work with Descent Into Avernus here). While their past work has been with the official D&D releases, full of shinies and big honking ships as well as maps and cards galore, Beadle & Grimm’s have done something that they themselves say is “a little new.” In collaboration with writer Alex Kammer (“Adventures in Zelkor’s Ferry,” “The Brain Gorger’s Appetite,” “Skulljaw Hill) and publisher Frog God Games (City of Brass,Bard’s Gate), the B&G boys are releasing a companion Map Vault to go with Kammer’s newest adventure for Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition: Sea King’s Malice. Set in the seaside city of Bridgeport, Sea King’s Malice will have adventurers brave the high seas as they tangle with the denizens of the deep, including sahuagin, lizard folk, and even the hulking Crabmen.
To aid in navigation, Beadle & Grimm’s has developed three maps that center on the most important part of a seafaring adventure (other than the sea): the ship. Consisting of three massive 24×30 maps, each map renders a ship from Sea King’s Malice in full color and perfect detail with art exclusive to B&G. As a bonus, the other side of each map will feature a blank template of the ship on a dry erase surface, enabling DM’s to reuse the maps for future adventures on the big blue wet thing. They’re scaled for minis and all roll up into a cartographer’s tube for ease of storage and transport.
Sea King’s Malice is currently on Kickstarter, where it has blown past its initial goal and is well on its way to hitting the stretch goals. The Beadle & Grimm’s Map Vault is available starting at $50, along with all previous reward tiers, and will only be available for a limited time (that’s kind of their thing). The Kickstarter runs through June 13, so there’s still time to get in on Sea King’s Malice and the first of Beadle & Grimm’s many future Map Vaults. Catch the trailer for Sea King’s Malice below:
