Ladies First and Diversity

Elizabeth and Kori return for a special episode fresh off the cancellation of Sense8. In this episode, we’re looking at the levels of diverse content in our community, and whether or not we’re putting in the level of support these shows need. Special guest, Hadeel, joins us for this discussion.

We encourage discussion regarding this topic and hope to continue an open dialog for everyone in our community. If you’d like to keep this conversation going, you can sound off in the comments below or head over to our thread in the forums.

Below, we’ve compiled a short list of queer movies featuring WoC that you might be interested in watching.

  • Saving Face
  • Tangerine
  • Pariah
  • Chutney Popcorn
  • The Peculiar Kind
  • Circumstance
  • Mosquita Y Mari
  • Paris is Burning
  • Black./Womyn
  • The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love
  • Appropriate Behavior

Have a movie you like that isn’t on this list? Be sure to let us know!
