Marvel Comics and Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S.-based subsidiary, have revealed Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe, a new series launching July 16 written by Gerry Duggan (Deadpool, X-Men) with art by Javier Garrón (Avengers).
Earlier this year, fans witnessed Godzilla face off against the Fantastic Four and are eagerly awaiting the King of the Monsters to take on icons across the Marvel universe like the Hulk, Spider-Man, X-Men, the Avengers, and Thor in the GODZILLA VS. one-shots.
Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe will be a five-issue event series written by superstar writer Gerry Duggan and acclaimed artist Javier Garrón. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, it’s all hands on deck as Godzilla is pitted against the combined might of the entire Marvel Universe! Starring a cast of Marvel heroes—and villains—and packed with shocking moments like a faceoff between the ageless Kaiju and an ancient Celestial, a horrifying symbiote bonding to the King of the Monsters, and a ground-shaking battle between the Hulk and Godzilla, it’s an explosive saga that will go down in pop culture history!
