House of Fire & Blood Episode 49 “Our Power of Friendship Grows”

What if George R. R. Martin’s Fire and Blood was written more like HBO’s House of the Dragon? Caroline and Gretchen analyze Martin’s work from this perspective and search for hidden stories in the text.

This week Caroline and Gretchen are joined by new friend of the podcast Phil! The group continue their analysis with The Dying of the Dragons: The Red and the Gold Part 2. Rook’s Rest is under siege and Rhaenyra, too cowardly to fight and disabled by her wandering womb, sends Rhaenys instead. Meanwhile, “King” Aegon flies into battle himself! What a smart and brave plan that definitely won’t go wrong at all!
