Music Video Thunderdome: Hrithik Roshan

Let’s face it. Certain things aren’t terribly happy right now and many of us have had several parts of our life come screeching to a halt. While we could do some deep dive praxis analytical scope of the socio-economic effects of the shutdown, well, everything sucks and we want to have some fun for a little bit. To that end, we’re going to spend the next several days doing a top-five ranking of our favorite music artists’ music videos. Of course, I got too excited and asked if I could flip the script a bit and add in music videos from Bollywood. So here are my five top performances from Hrithik Roshan who is one of the best dancers in Bollywood, ever! If you’ve seen his stuff before let me know what I missed and if you haven’t, tell me which one you liked most!

Bang Bang

I have watched this film uncountable times which says something because I a] don’t watch movies very often and b] don’t really rewatch films. A sanctioned remake of the Tom Cruise starring Knight and Day, this film has better action than most of Hollywood. The romance is also super sweet and comedic with the script letting Hrithik and Katrina really show their acting (and stunt!) chops. This song is the film’s item/advertising song and has some of his best dance moves ever.

Dheere Dheere Se Meri Zindagi

Okay so this song doesn’t even include dancing, but Sonam Kapoor stars as the love interest for this remake of a famous song by Yo Yo Honey Singh. This song has to be on here just because of their adorable love story and his purple suit!

Bole Chudiyan

No Hrithik Roshan or really any Bollywood song list is complete without this gem from the much-loved Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. K3G is famous for being one of the most romantic and dramatic family Bollywood films, and this song which includes all the family members is an absolute must-see. (And it has Shahrukh Khan my other most favorite actor ever. And they’re brothers!)

Dhoom Again

Even people who don’t know Bollywood know this song. Honestly, it doesn’t need much explanation. Just watch it!

Jai Jai Shivshankar

GAY ENERGY (Also this movie is GOOD and also has gay energy) but really the choreography in this one is so fun!

Honorable Mention for the RomanceTM is this song.
