Jamie Campbell Bower Has a New Song and Video Out

Jamie Campbell Bower can do it all. He acts, sings, and terrorizes the fictional town of Hawkins from the comfort of his home in the upside down.

Whether your first introduction to his acting was recently in season 4 of Stranger Things, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, or perhaps in the Twilight Saga, you’ve definitely seen him in something. The question is have you listened to his music?

Something that Bower is well known for is his voice. It’s deep. It’s got some gothic intensity to it, but it’s also very calming and soothing. He hasn’t just been acting. He’s a singer. In 2015, Bower was lead vocals and guitarist for the English punk rock band Counterfeit. The band split up in 2020. Now he’s solo and goes by Jamie Bower

He has a new single called, “I Am,” that is officially available to stream on your favorite services and there’s a new music video for it as well:

The song has a dark and sinister gospel tone set in a country western world. Bower embraces his iconic voice, love of country music, and all aspects of what someone wouldarkness. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay. Maybe we should all embrace some of our inner darkness and feel the Jamie Bower vibes.

In an interview with Jason Frank of Vulture, he talked about his new single and ‘darkness’, “I feel like, often, when people hear the word darkness, they are very afraid of it. They consider it to be evil, but I don’t. I think that they are necessary parts of all of us that dwell inside of every single person.”

He also said, “With this song, the guitar was the first thing that I came up with. The vocal was all done in one take, and the video was shot a week after.”

You can head over to Spotify and listen to his other songs and subscribe to this Youtube channel for future music video releases.
