Today, KP11 Studios launched a crowdfunding campaign on BackerKit to fund Project Dastan—a content community on Moonbeam, platform for a variety of diverse voices worldwide, and tabletop actual play studio in India. The BackerKit campaign will run through August 9th.
Project Dastan is launching on Moonbeam, the new streaming and community content service founded by Anthony Joyce-Rivera. Moonbeam is also crowdfunding via BackerKit, with Project Dastan serving as one of their founding pillar channels. Other founding realms include Evil Hat Productions, Monte Cook Games, Gen Con TV, and Panic Table.
KP11 Studios has announced several content creators and communities that will be a part of Project Dastan at launch, including The Hype Goblin, Tabletop Tempest, TableTopJocks, Baneeta Kaur, and Tales of Novum. KP plans to expand Project Dastan’s streaming community to include queer, BIPOC, disabled, and otherwise marginalized creators who cover board games, card games, comics, movies, and more.
Alongside the Project Dastan Moonbeam realm, this crowdfunding campaign also seeks to fund an independent TTRPG Actual Play Studio in India. The first campaign produced by this studio will be a Pathfinder Second Edition game, with official support from Paizo Inc. Project Dastan is also supported by Roll20, DriveThruRPG, Demiplane, and Foam Brain Games.
Supporters of the BackerKit can choose from rewards including access to streaming content, special roles in the Moonbeam realm community spaces, custom dice with Indian numerals, and producer credits across Project Dastan’s project catalog.
