Skybound Tabletop Announces Release Of New Word-Smuggling Party Game Contrabanter

Today Skybound Tabletop announced the retail release of Contrabanter, a team word-smuggling game where the gift of gab and a poker face are the keys to victory. Available today online and in local friendly game stores nationwide, Contrabanter makes players work as a team to sneak secret words into a conversation and prove themselves clever enough to be the winning word-smugglers.

The secret word is out! Can you catch it and collect the points? Each team has three secret words to try and say each round. The opposing team will ask a question or use a prompt card to get the conversation going, and then the hunt is on! Your team will have 90 seconds to talk about anything and everything while sneaking your secret words into the mix. But beware! If your opponents catch on to the subterfuge in your soliloquys, they have three chances to stop the clock and confiscate any secret words they guess correctly. Your team gets points for smuggling your words past your opponents and correctly guessing the secret words they try to smuggle past you. Whichever team has the most points after three rounds, wins!

“Skybound Tabletop has significantly expanded its party game offering over the last year and we can’t think of a better addition to casual game nights than Contrabanter,” said Garima Sharma, VP, Licensing & Partnerships at Skybound. “Good luck getting through a full game with a straight face!”

With art by Curt Merlo and design by Phil Gross, Contrabanter can be played with 2-15 players and offers plenty of opportunity for sneaky play with 141 secret word cards, 9 guess cards and 20 optional prompt cards.
