Snowbright Studio (Studio of the Year Finalist, 2023 Tabletop Awards) is partnering with Kristen Mott to bring to life Insectarium, a new strategy board game. Kristen is the designer behind the games Sharks!, Dinosaur Exhibit, and Clownfish Cove.
Insectarium is a beautifully illustrated strategy board game where players are tasked with creating a board of insect specimens for display in the Insectarium’s main hall. You must use your gear, gather specimens, and collect tools to precisely arrange and pin specimens in your display. The game features a collection of fascinating and wonderful illustrations by artist Meg Lemieur.
Insectarium will be headed to Kickstarter in 2024. Follow along with its development on Snowbright’s social media channels or sign up for access to special launch day bonuses on its Pre-Launch page.
Insectarium is the first game produced under Snowbright’s new co-production program. Designed to provide greater voice and long-term revenue for board game creators, Snowbright’s co-production program reimagines what it is like to publish board games and includes a 50/50 revenue split between studio and creator.
Snowbright Studio is best known for its many heartwarming RPGs and board games including Teatime Adventures, ink, Time Tails, and Harvest Hoppers. Snowbright publishes new cozy game expansions and fiction in its bimonthly publication, Cozy Companion magazine, and also runs the annual Nonbinary Tabletop Awards program.
