Tactical Adventures has announced that it will be releasing a revised version of its Solasta Campaign Rulebook, which was originally only available via Kickstarter. The rulebook, which is utilises the D&D 5E ruleset, is available for pre-order.
Based on the acclaimed RPG video game, Solasta: Crown of the Magister, Tactical Adventures will be partnering with Modiphius Entertainment, publisher of Star Trek Adventures, the official Dune RPG, the official Fallout: The Roleplaying Game and the upcoming Discworld TTRPG, as well as Rookery Publications on the TTRPG launch.
Mathieu Girard, CEO and Creative Director at Tactical Adventures said: “Tabletop RPGs have always been close to our hearts here at Tactical Adventures. To think that our games of D&D over the years have not only resulted in releasing Solasta: Crown of the Magister to fellow fans, but that we also have the opportunity of sharing the world of Solasta on tabletop as well, is very exciting. Ever since our Kickstarter, our players have been asking if they could get their hands on a copy. Now, with the help of Modiphius and Rookery Publications, we’re delighted to say that they can!”
To celebrate the studio’s third anniversary today, Tactical Adventures has confirmed that it will be publishing a campaign book with the inclusion of all the new subclasses added to the game post-launch, fully revised and rebalanced. Solasta: Crown of the Magister is best known for its tactical combat, multiplayer co-op and Dungeon Maker tool, which allows its community to create their own campaigns to share online.
The Solasta Campaign Rulebook lets you explore ruins and dungeons for legendary treasures, learn the truth of the cataclysm that broke the world, and stop it all from happening again. It not only contains the complete history for the world of Solasta, but it also presents the first-ever, realm-by-realm guide to the continent of Ferandragh where the Solasta game is set, including an in-depth examination of the city of Caer Cyflen and the Badlands.
Chris Birch, co-founder at Modiphius Entertainment said: “We love sharing amazing new worlds with the tabletop gaming community and Solasta is a really great example of what you can do with the world’s greatest RPG. Now it’s your chance to explore it in depth!”
The book also contains a detailed breakdown of all the major religions of Solasta, as well as full rules covering all the species, monsters, classes, and magic designed for the fifth edition of Dungeons and Dragons.
Andy Law, co-founder and CEO of Rookery Publications, said: “After Solasta: Crown of the Magister launched on Kickstarter, Tactical Adventures partnered with Rookery Publications to adapt their computer game from the screen to the tabletop. We’re delighted to be working with them again to update what was once a backer-exclusive into a new, revised edition of the Solasta Campaign Rulebook that fans both old and new can enjoy.”
Fans of Solasta should sign up here for further updates, with the sourcebook set to be released in September.
